Default Insurance

Bob sent out an e-mail mentioning AOPA for insurance. I am also an AOPA member so I decided to call the AOPA insurance and see what they had for are situation. After explaining what we are proposing to do: a group of 5 builders or a group of 10 builders or maybe a group of 5 and a group of 10 on separate projects. I explained we are building an RV-12 ELSA and the RV-12 is SLSA certified so its not like a amateur built experimental or homebuilt and it has to be built exactly as the SLSA to get ELSA certification. THE GOOD NEWS IS: He said it is a do-able situation. Either a group of 5 or 10 or both. The only thing is the owners must have a private or LSA license or higher. So for whoever needs to take this forward I can give you the contact I talked to.
